We're pleased to announce that we've added a new category of exotic botanicals sourced from the rainforests of South America, Hawaii, and Southeast Asia. You can view the category here: Rainforest Botanicals.
Although exotic to westerners, indigenous shamans and healers are very familiar with these plants that have been used in their herbalism for thousands of years.
Here are just a few items in the category:
Maca, or Lepidium peruvianum, is sourced from Peru in South America, and is used both as an extract and a plain powder to enhance energy, libido, and overall well being. Unlike many botanicals for energy, Maca is caffeine free. We use it in our new Enerjoy Positive Energy Powder Capsules, a convenient new version of our popular Enerjoy Powder containing both Maca Root Powder and the Pacific Islands’ Mucuna Pruriens, which is used for its mood boosting and neuroprotective benefits.
Chuchuhuasi is another herb used by tribes to help ease minor aches and pain during work, and in the Ecuadorian rainforest, the Quijos Quichua Indians use it as an aphrodisiac for women. We offer extract of the bark in powder and capsules.
Brazil’s Tupi tribe discovered hundreds of years ago that Catuaba bark has energizing and aphrodisiac qualities. Drinking Catuaba tea to boost libido and energy became a part of their culture. We offer Catuaba in plain powder, extract, and a liquid formula.
These are just a few of many items in our Rainforest Botanicals section that we invite you to check out.
